This year's Master Print Editions category features two prints by Elijah Gowin. Only twenty-five prints are available for each image. Due to the very limited editions of these prints, we encourage our customers to place their order early to ensure that the print of their choice is still available. Both editions are offered exclusively to Contact Sheet subscribers for $450 each or as part of the Benefactor Offer. The prints are shipped in 16 x 20" mats ready for framing or for archival storage. All print purchases include a complimentary, one-year subscription to Contact Sheet.

Also in the Master Editions category is The Eatonville Portfolio, a limited-edition offering featuring prints by Carrie Mae Weems, Dawoud Bey, Lonnie Graham, and Deborah Willis.

Light Work also offers a limited edition of an original platinum prints. Each print is made from the artist's negative and printed by renowned platinum printer Sal Lopes on 100% rag paper. All images are signed by the artist. The purchase of a platinum print includes a complimentary one-year subscription to Contact Sheet.

The images Cup and Maggie and Orbs are part of Gowin's series Hymnal of Dreams (1994-2004), in which his beloved aunt Margaret Cooper is featured prominently in dreamlike and whimsically constructed scenes. The images are included in the book Maggie, which is part of Light Work's 2010 Book Collectors Offer. Gowin uses photography to speak about ritual, landscape, and memory. His photographs are in the collections of the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Center for Creative Photography, among others. He participated in Light Work's Artist-in-Residence Program in 1998. In 2008 he received a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship. Includes five issues of Contact Sheet.

The limited edition was created expressly for Light Work, following a photographic survey of Eatonville, FL, home of celebrated writer Zora Neale Hurston. The images capture a unique view of the oldest black incorporated town in the United States.
